On April 8 Jonathan Fleming was released from prison after serving 24 years. New York City private investigators Robert Rahn and Kim Anklin helped prove his alibi that was initially dismissed by jurors when he was convicted in 1989. The two sleuths uncovered receipts showing that Fleming was at Disney World in Orlando Florida with his family when the murder in New York City occurred.

Rahn and Anklin are both Founding Members of a new national innocence project whose members consist of private investigators and criminal defense attorneys who are devoted to freeing the innocent. Rahn and Anklin are co-Regional Directors in the 2nd Circuit, which includes New York, Connecticut and Vermont. Investigating Innocence's Founding Member, Robert Rahn, a former NYC police detective, said, "Working on Jonathan's case was the most satisfying investigation of my career."
